The Shard - London's tallest tower
November, London - for 16 years, biotech leaders have gathered here for the Jefferies global healthcare conference and since 2013 for London Life Sciences Week. It’s the biggest gathering of biotech leaders in Europe where important developments are announced and where big deals are made. Cell and Gene Leaders London is an invitation-led gathering in an iconic and exclusive London venue where key players can meet the day before Life Sciences Week gets underway.
Sessions run alongside complimentary food prepared by leading chefs through to an early evening drinks reception at the Shard, London’s tallest building. As well as top level speakers and panel discussions about developments in Cell and Gene, private meeting rooms are available plus plenty of chances to network and catch up with friends and colleagues.
The Shard defines modern London’s skyline. Its unique, tapering glass design rises to 87 storeys and soars 310 metres above the Thames making The Shard the tallest building in the United Kingdom and among the most distinctive in Europe. Floor-to-ceiling windows give uninterrupted panoramas of London and our private venue on the 34th floor is the ideal setting for senior biotech and pharma leaders to meet and do business.
The Shard is just a five-minute walk from London Bridge station (National Rail, Jubilee line, Northern line), and approximately 10 minutes from Borough station (Northern line).

Our venue sits inside Shangri-La, the exclusive hotel occupying floors 34 to 52 at The Shard. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame the capital from every room in the hotel. On the 52nd floor GONG serves London’s best cocktails and TING on the 35th floor is renowned for luxury dining with a unique, Pan-Asian twist.
